Needs: Prayers;
Information - If you find a great site that talks about Lesotho, or sounding areas we would love to have the link.
Shots - We have to get Hep. A; Hep. B; Typhoid Fever; Yellow Fever; & Rabies Vaccinations... We need to find the cheapest place we can get these done at, because those shots are expensive. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! (Sounds silly, but just last week, I was able to get one of my Hep B shots for free, now I only have to pay for two and working to get those as cheap as possible)
Prayers: Our entire team will need prayers for many reasons. We need prayers of protection, knowledge, strength, wisdom, patience, and financial security. We need prayers for God's will to be done.
Prayer Requests: I will be putting dates on all our prayer requests and I will be adding praise reports too. I know this may sound odd at times, but I feel that when our prayers are answered, we should always thank God, so we ask that you share our appreciation to God as well.
July 7th - Mistakes were made on our insurance which has caused our checking accounts and our insurance totals to be all messed up. We are working with the bank and our insurance company to get these straightened out, but it is becoming very difficult to stay patient when we are not able to use our bank accounts due to charges. Please pray that this all gets taken care of in a timely manner and that we are treated fairly by the insurance company. Thanks!
July 20th - We still do not have our insurance issues straightened out, but it is getting there. However, our big concern right now is for Ken's mom and sister. His mom is in the hospital and will need long term health care, which means Sherri will need a different living arrangement as well. We ask that you pray that Ken is able to make the best decision for his family at this time. Thanks so much for your continued prayers.
August 23rd - Ken needs prayers for his quick recovery from a kidney stone. He is currently trying to pass it, so we are still in the waiting stage at this moment but prayers are greatly appreciated. PRAISE - Ken was able to get both his mom and sister into an assisted living center that is awesome. They will be sharing a room, but it is divided by a wall and they have their own tv and air controllers. I can't wait for his mom to get there and see how nice it is. Sherri seems to really like it, so I am sure Betty will too. Thanks for the prayers!
September 2nd - We have had a very busy few weeks. Ken has had problems with kidney stones and he has been getting all the things worked out for his mom and sister. This has been a time of drawing closer to God, but yet sometimes it seems like He is so far away. Please pray for our continued faith as we go through this journey.
October 4th - It has been a while since I last posted. I have been busy working on a blog that Ken had for his walk to Houston. So, Our prayer request and praise report for now is this.. we are thankful that Ken made it to Houston. We are thankful for everyone who prayed for us and the journey. We are so very thankful for God's divine intervention on many situations during and since Ken made it home.
October 26th - Ken and I need prayers of clarification as we begin what looks to be the final months that we are here in Oklahoma. We want to make sure we are doing God's will and that we are hearing His call on our lives and not following someone else's heart. We know God is working in our lives and we know that God is also working in other's lives, so we ask for prayers for the many who are working on any human trafficking issues.
Financial Support: Many of you have asked how you can help us financially. We have placed information on our web site as a convenience to you, if you are interested in giving. We feel that God will provide all our needs during this time, so please do not feel obligated to give. Our intentions are simply to provide what our followers have asked us to do.
